Jamiyla Bolton, MS

Research Program Leader


Jamiyla provides high-level administrative management and support for programmatic development of center studies and programs at the Duke Global Digital Health Science Center. In addition, she directs the development of subcontracted research trials. Prior to joining DGHI, Jamiyla was a research health science specialist at the Health Sciences Research and Development department of the Durham VAMC. She received a bachelor’s degree at UNC-CH in Exercise and Sport Science with a biology minor, and her master’s degree in physical education and health from NCCU. 

  • Something interesting most people don’t know about me is that I was born and raised in Brooklyn NY. I am still working on my southern charm : )
  • Favorite activity/ hobby outside of work is traveling to places with clear blue water—which is odd since I hate fish. At least I can see them coming!
