Cayla graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise and Sport Science and Global Studies. She has previously worked with the UNC Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention on a family-focused intervention that promotes healthy weight behaviors in underserved fa milies with preschool-aged children. Also, she has participated in medical trips through Global Bridgades, a nonprofit health and sustainable development organization that travels to Central America.
With advancements in technology occurring daily, identifying barriers to technology access and tailoring new advancements to aid an individual’s health needs are her main interests. She enjoys working directly with the population by identifying personal barriers they face when accessing healthcare and/or technology.
