Can Mobile Technologies Improve Obesity Treatment?

Obesity has become a major global health challenge. Rapid proliferation of mobile technologies (e.g., text messaging, smartphone apps, wearable fitness trackers, connected mobile scales) has greatly increased the possibilities for enhancing obesity treatment and prevention efforts, both in the U.S. and globally. This talk provided an overview of interventions targeting obesity using mobile health approaches and suggestions for future research.
