The Cleveland Clinic innovation team recently shared their strategic formula for technological transformation – they presented at a recent event on developing an API platform that helped them extend the capabilities of their EHR.

Fitbit recently acquired Twine Health, a healthcare coaching app for employees enrolled in wellness programs. This, plus a launch of a women’s health tracking feature in the Fitbit app, mark a shift for Fitbit from devices to software and services.
#Analoghealth – a fresh food program launched at a health system in Pennsylvania is helping patients manage their type 2 diabetes, lose weight, and even start to reduce their dependence on medications. The program provides patients with food insecurity 2 meals’ worth of food per day for 5 days per week, for as long as is needed. The “fresh food farmacy” is located on a hospital campus, and by partnering with a local food bank, the system can provide healthy food at a reasonable cost.
